Vail Bantam A 2002-2003
The Vail Bantam A team of 2002-2003 was a fun group. This was the first year in the last 10 that my son, Alex Biegler, was not on the team, as he had moved on to the high school team. I had a lot of new faces, including the Stevens twins, McKenzie and John.

Taos, New Mexico Thanksgiving Tournament 2002
One highlight of the year was the 2002 Thanksgiving tournament in Taos, New Mexico. The Taos folks. led by my friend Brian Greer (see Taos Mountain Dragons), were great hosts. We had several team dinners, went to the movies, explored the Town of Taos, and won the tournament!

Coach Barry explaining the "hit board". You got one point for a bump, 2 for a solid hit and 3 for a "clobber". -1 for a penalty. We probably had 100 points total - the other team wasn't sure what was going on.
Getting ready for the championship game
Andreas Apostol is always happy
Barry can coach with his eyes closed....
Blake Armstrong always liked the girls, McKenzie Stevens and Molly Goodman. Casey Kleisenger in the background being Casey.
Casey Kleisenger has to make sure his stick is straight!
Our Feareless goalie, Foster Fox
Molly Goodman on the left with Mckenzie Stevens. There is full body checking in Bantams and these two were tough to knock down.
