Saint Olaf College Hockey Team 1971-1975

I did not play organized hockey until I was a senior in high school. I wanted to play college hockey, but my friends said I had no chance, since I had just learned to skate. Not to be deterred I researched college teams and looked for the worst team in the USA, which at the time was St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. Luckily for me there were only 14 kids who even tried out for the team. I was the worst player on the weakest college team in the nation, but I got to play 4 years of varsity hockey from 1971-1975.

We had a Saint Olaf Reunion tournament 40 years after graduation. Great to be in the Colors again.
